Oz City

Midfielder Greg Altounian (South Pasadena H.S.) and Hakop Avesyan (La Canada H.S. in Flintridge, Calif.) both come from Pasadena City College.  Sound familiar?  That was the launching pad for Yura Movsisyan, who became the first ever player selected from a community college when the Wizards selected him with the 4th overall pick in the 2006 MLS SuperDraft.

Greg had 2 assists in 14 games in 2007, and 1 goal and 2 assists in 21 games in 2006.  He can be seen here showing off his juggling abilities.  Teammate Hakop played in 5 games in 2006.
