The Sun (not the most respected paper across the pond) had the following to say in regards to Eddie, “Reading and Derby are battling to sign £2m-rated MLS striker Eddie Johnson. (The Sun)” (link)
UK Yahoo has an article mentioning Eddie going to Fulham saying, “Should Roy Hodgson fail to land Kewell, he will blow the cash on USA striker Eddie Johnson, who sensibly opted to stay with the Kansas City Wizards rather than sign for Derby last summer.”
It is much more exciting when the rumors about a player coming to you than on of your going somewhere. It will be interesting to see how he does over there. Will 06 Eddie show up or 07 Eddie?
As a Fulham fan I don’t even know what to think about that rumor- How do I get excited if my second favorite team over pays for a player from my favorite side?
